ROBERT ""BOB"" ALEX SUBLETT's Obituary
Mr. Robert A. Sublett ""Bob"" passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2014. He was 86 years old. Mr. Sublett was born on December 9, 1927 in Huntsville, AL to the late Clyde and Isla Black Sublett. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his first wife Sara Ditsy Sublett in 2010, a son, Robert ""Soupie"" Sublett and a brother, Clyde Sublett. Bob retired from the Pepsi Cola Company where he worked as a sales representative. He is a WWII United States Navy Veteran. Bob was a Past Master of the Doric Lodge #30 A.F. & A.M., also Columbia Lodge in Arlington, VA, a Shriner and also a member of the American Legion Post 28. He was the most wonderful man in the world. He enjoyed woodworking, flower gardening and was a DIEHARD Redskins fan. He was an energetic and busy man all his days up to the end. He is survived by his wife Janis Sublett of Millsboro; a daughter, Dale Bodzer and her husband Tony of New Bern, NC; sons, Jeral Sublett and his wife Ramona of Richmond, VA, Larry Sublett and his wife Maggie of Lusby, MD, a daughter-in-law, Cindy Sublett of Gainesville, FL; step-sons, Stevan and Randy McKinney, a sister, Sue DuValle of Atlanta, GA. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, 5 step-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends. A Masonic service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE 19966, where friends may call after 11:00 AM. Burial will take place privately at Lakemont Memorial Gardens in Davidson, MD. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
