Ronnie E. Dukes' Obituary
Ronnie Eugene Dukes, 70, of Millsboro passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2012 at his home. He was born on June 20, 1942 in Wilson, North Carolina to the late Irvin and Estelle Matthews Dukes. He was an accomplished handyman, having completed a wide variety of jobs, and was also known to be extremely creative and hard working. He had been a poultry farmer and repairmen for most of his life. He enjoyed socializing every morning with the town men at the donut shop, and spending free time at Antique Alley in Millsboro. He was known for his heart of gold, abounding hugs and all around genuine loving nature. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife, Kathleen and his brother Wiley Pete Dukes. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Linda Dukes and her children Stephany Dukes Gerber and her husband Dr. Austin Gerber; Douglas Dukes and his wife, Amy. He is survived by his longtime companion, Mary Jane Hudson, and her children that he thought of as his own Glyn, Robert, and Brian Goodge. A viewing and visitation will be held from 12:00 - 1:00 PM at the Watson Funeral Home on Monday, July 2, 2012. Interment follows with a graveside service conducted by Rev. Robert Hudson at 1:00 PM at the Millsboro Cemetery.
