Obituary of Rosaura Rios Velez
Rosaura Rios Velez of Laurel, DE passed away on Monday, July 8, 2019. She was 83 years old.
Rosaura was born in Anasco, Puerto Rico on December 10, 1935 to the late Juan Rios and Reyes Velez. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by one sister, Carmen L. Rios and four brothers, Juan R., Carlos, Luis and Emilio Rios.
She was a talented seamstress, a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be missed dearly.
Rosaura is survived by three children, Juan R. Gonzalez and his wife Wanda Figueroa of Laurel, DE, Julio Gonzalez and his wife Carmen of Valley Stream, NY and Carmen Gonzalez of North Babylon, NY. She also leaves behind one sister, Carmen Rios as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2019 at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE 19966 where friends may call from 3:00 PM till 4:00 PM. A Vigil Service will be held at 3:30 PM.
Services and burial will be held in her hometown of Anasco, Puerto Rico at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in Rosaura's memory to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 532 E. Stein Hwy, Seaford, DE 19973.
