ROSINA M COOK's Obituary
Cook, Rosina Marie (Sanfilippo), age 86, died May 18, 2014. Rose was born October 15, 1927, in Buffalo, New York, and spent much of her life in Western New York and Pennsylvania before retiring to Millsboro, Delaware, in 2001. She practiced her faith at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Georgetown, DE. Rose was a member of the New York State Judicial Conference and served three terms as Justice of the Peace in the town of Red House, New York. Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall D. Cook; her parents, Cologero and Concetta (Navarro) Sanfilippo; brother, Frank Phillips; sister, Josephine Lombardo; sister, Bessie Queeno; daughter, Barbara Myers; and son-in-law, Mark Sutphin. She is survived by her brother, Alphonso Sanfilippo; daughter, Susan Sutphin; and son, Jeffrey Spica. In addition, Rose is survived by her grandchildren, Gabriel (Brandi) Sutphin; Gillie Sutphin Tice; Julian Meyers-Szupinska (Joanna Szupinska); Michael Meyers; and five great-grandchildren: Mary, Sarah, Emily, Madison, and Willow. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 12 Noon on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 202 Edward St., Georgetown, DE 19947. Interment will be private in Covenenter Cemetery in Centerville, Pennsylvania. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Cheer Center, 546 S Bedford St., Georgetown, DE 19947, in memory of Rose Cook. Letters of condolence may be emailed via www.watsonfh.com
