Russell Joseph Serafini's Obituary
Russell Joseph Serafini, age 91, of Millsboro Delaware passed away March 10th, 2024. He was 91 years young.
Russ was born September 2, 1932 in Olyphant, Pennsylvania to Joseph and Florence Serafini. Russ was a talented blacksmith, servicing thoroughbred racehorses up and down the east coast. In his spare time, as he aged, he produced wonderful decorative art objects fabricated from iron. He also won many awards for his bird carvings. Russ loved to ‘work’ in the kitchen producing delicious meals. Christmas gifts to friends were loaves of his homemade bread. Russ was known and will be remembered for his generosity.
Russ was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Rosanna Campbell, and his nephew Charles Campbell. He is survived by his wife Ellen, of seventy-thousand years and his nephew Joseph and Joe’s family, and Charles’ family.
Services will be held at the Lewes Presbyterian Church, 133 Kings Highway, Lewes Delaware on Monday March 18, at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers please send donations to your favorite charity.
