Obituary for Sally Ann Rogers
Sally Ann Rogers of Georgetown, Delaware passed away on October 31, 2016. She was born on April 14, 1915, which made her 101 years old. Sally was preceded in death by her husband, Merrill; her brother, George; and her sisters, Verda and Evelyn. She has eight children: Jack, Richard, Merrill, Shirley, Sharon, Donnie, Sally, and Nancy; and many, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great-great-grandchildren.
When her husband passed away, Sally went to work at the Stockley Center and retired from there. Once retired, she came to do what everyone remembers about her: doing over antiques, going to yard sales, and having yard sales. She will be missed. Like so many of us, she learned to roll with the punches; and on October 31, 2016, she laid her gloves down and went to meet her Maker.
A viewing will be held at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington Street, Millsboro, Delaware on Thursday, November 3, 2016 from 12 PM until 1:00 PM. There will be a short service afterward. Burial will follow at the Henlopen Memorial Park, 28787 Lockerman Road, Milton, Delaware.
