Sandra Lynn Baker's Obituary
Sandra Lynn Baker, 65, of Georgetown, Delaware passed away at her home on May 9, 2015. She was born on February 19, 1950 in Milford, DE to the late Dallas Shockley and Norma Wilkins Shockley Nelson who survives her. She was a lovely, vibrant woman with a very straight forward personality. She said what was on her mind, and never held back, knew how to hold her own, but always ended with that charming grin and a smile. She was retired from Delaware's Department of Transportation. She was devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren and beloved kitties: Sam and Lizzie. She was preceded recently by her beloved canine friend, Gabby, the St. Bernard. She is survived by her daughter, Vicky Baker Evans, and her husband Les, of Dagsboro; a daughter-in-law: Krista Baker of Fruitland, MD; and was preceded by a son, David in 2001. She is also survived by a sister, Connie Davis of Millsboro; and her brother: Butch Shockley, of Millsboro. She has four grandchildren: Taylor Evans; Amanda Evans; Blaire Baker; and Rylee Baker. She also has several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends and her special friend, Rachel Rust and special neighbors: David and Georgetta Toomey. A Memorial Service and Celebration of Her Life will be held on May 13, 2005 at 1:00 PM at the Watson Funeral Home in Millsboro, DE where friends may call two hours prior from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. The family requests attendees arrive in casual attire, and in lieu of flowers, contributions to either the Delaware SPCA or the American Heart Association. Interment arrangements will be private.
