Obituary of Mrs. Sharon C. Rogers:
Mrs. Sharon C. Rogers, 65, of Selbyville, DE passed away quietly at her residence on May 3, 2017. She was born in Gumboro, DE on October 6, 1951, graduated from high school and married her beloved husband William R. Rogers, Jr., who preceded her on April 15, 2015. Together they raised a family. She remained a home maker, caring for her own children and her beloved "grand babies." She loved Chinese food and game shows.
She is survived by a son: William R. Rogers, III and his wife Jessica, of North Carolina; and a daughter: Sonya Rogers, of Willards, MD. She is also survived by a sister: Sandra, from Gumboro and five grandchildren:
Erika Rogers; Kensley Rogers; Avery Rogers; Frank Wilkerson; and Freddy Wilkerson. One grandson, her beloved Fhillip Wilkerson preceded her on October 18, 2011. She is also survived by extended family members and many friends.
A funeral service and celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at 12:00 Noon at the Watson Funeral Home, Millsboro. Friends may call one hour prior, from 11 till 12 for a calling hour and visitation with the family. Bishop Roland Mifflin will officiate. Interment follows in Dagsboro Redmen's Cemetery in Dagsboro, DE.
