Shirley F. Collins' Obituary
Mrs. Shirley F. Collins of Gumboro, DE went home with our Lord on Friday, November 21, 2025. She was 81 years old.
Shirley was born on August 27, 1944, in Salisbury, MD, to the late Roland V. Lynch, Sr. and Helen E. Lynch of Roxana, DE.
Shirley was a lifetime member of Roxana Ladies Auxiliary and has been a member for 62 years. She was also a member of Gumboro United Methodist Church. Shirley had a cleaning service for different ones whom she cherished for years. She was a very hard worker and enjoyed her family and friends and the Orioles.
Shirley is survived by her daughter Gail Snyder (Ted) of Georgetown, DE; two granddaughters: Heather Rose (Joseph) of Georgetown, DE, and Tara Magee (Eric) of Millsboro, DE; and three great grandchildren: Joseph Rose, Jr., of Georgetown, DE, and Hunter Snyder and Aubrey LeCates of Millsboro, DE. She is also survived by her brother Barry L. Lynch of Roxana, DE; two sisters-in-law: Fay Tracy of Gumboro, DE, and Andrea Collins of Princess Anne, MD; and brother-in-law Joe Collins (Marty) of Berlin, MD. She also leaves behind nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.
The family would like to thank Vitas Healthcare of Millsboro, DE, for all their help and support, Stacie and Tia. And a very special friend Donie Hitchens of Gumboro, DE, who helped take care of her and loved her dearly. Shirley had a lot of wonderful friends whom she loved dearly.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 12:00PM at the Roxana Cemetery, Gum Road, Frankford, DE 19945.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Vita’s Healthcare, 30265 Commerce Dr. Suite 202, Millsboro, DE, or Gumboro United Methodist Church, 27506 Streets Road, Millsboro, DE.
