Terence Lee Rutherford's Obituary
Terence “Terry” Rutherford of Millsboro, DE, passed away peacefully at home on May, 27, 2026. Terry lived a life centered around hard work, friends and his love of animals. He made a career in Masonry, working in that field for over 40 years. Terry enjoyed working around the farm. He dearly loved all the dogs and horses that he and Holly had over the years.
Terry faced his cancer diagnosis with such courage, strength and a positive attitude as he had lived life… Always finding the brighter side.
Terry is predeceased by his mother Mary Virginia Volka, brother, Dean Rutherford, and his grandparents Ralph and Mildred Carty Sr.
He is survived by Holly Brittingham with whom he shared 26 years, his father Jerry Rutherford, Sr. (Jeanne), brother Jerry Rutherford, Jr (Brenda), brother Joel Gamache (Brandi), sister Susan Buscemi (Tom) and his two dogs Jake and Bella.
Special thanks to Delaware Hospice and to all of their compassionate staff.
