Thurman Ray Anderson's Obituary
Thurman Ray Anderson, 91, of Georgetown, Delaware went to be with his Lord on 11/8/2024 surrounded by his loving family. Thurman lived a wonderful life with his wife Ramona for 67 years. Together they had 3 children, Debbie (Rick), Randy (Donna), and David, 9 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. He was also survived by his niece, Linda McKeown.
Thurman retired from DuPont Nylon Plant in Seaford, Delaware after 37 years. After retirement, he went to work at Sports at the Beach. He volunteered at the Georgetown Little League, Georgetown Aid Inc., the American Red Cross, he also volunteered anywhere his children and grandchildren needed him, including many years with the Sussex Central Junior and Senior High School Bands. He was a dedicated member of Carey’s Church and Carey’s Camp, as well as the American Legion Post #8.
Services will be held at Waston Funeral Home in Millsboro, Delaware on Friday, November 15th, 2024. The viewing will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and services will begin at 11:00 a.m. with internment to follow at Carey’s Cemetery Millsboro, Delaware.
