Timothy H. Nichols Sr.'s Obituary
Timothy Hayden Nichols, Sr., of Millsboro, DE, passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at the Delaware Veterans Home-Valor wing. He was 79 years old.
He was one of three children born to the late Gerald and Allie Nichols in Washington D.C on July 7, 1943. Tim was a proud Navy Veteran and had served during the Vietnam War. He retired from Verizon as a Senior Systems Engineer after 30 years. He was also a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of the Barbershop Harmony Society.
Tim was a devoted husband and father to his family. He loved jammin’ out to music and was also known for cutting a rug!! Tim was quick-witted and a fun person to be around. Reciting quotes from his favorite movies was something he loved to do with family also.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Allie Nichols; one brother, Martin Nichols; and son Timothy H. Nichols, Jr.
Tim is survived by his wife of 54 years, Joan; two children, Amy Nichols (Michael) of New Jersey and William Nichols (Joye) of Virginia; one sister, Patricia Baker (Roger) of Florida; and seven grandchildren, Sydney, Bailey, Owen, Aidan, Gavin, Emmersyn, and Avery.
