TREMAYNE LEWIS RANDOLPH PARKER, JR's Obituary
Baby Tremayne Lewis Randolph Parker, Jr, affectionately known as TJ, passed away peacefully in the arms of his mother on the morning of Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE. TJ was born Friday, March 28, 2014 prematurely at Christiana Hospital. After struggling with complications from being born prematurely, he passed away gently into the open arms of Jesus. TJ was the son of Tremayne L. R. Parker, Sr and Katrina A. Dixon-Parker of Millsboro, DE. TJ was the answer to their prayers, and they prayed and waiting for his birth with unshakable faith and joyful expectation. During TJ's brief visit, of a month, to this earth he touched so many lives. TJ was a fighter and a true example that there is a God. When the doctors didn't think he'd make it alive out of his mother's womb, he proved them wrong. When the doctors didn't think he would survive or gain weight outside of his mother's womb, he proved them wrong. TJ gave people faith, restored faith, and brought so many people together. This little guy enjoyed his cuddle time with mommy, laying on her chest, while his mommy sang "Jesus Loves Me" to him and prayed over him. He loved being held and comforted. His little eyes opened wide and had a twinkle in it as he displayed a smile when mommy and daddy lightly stroked his chest. TJ enjoyed holding mommy, daddy, and mom-mom's fingers. He also loved his monkey themed sheets and blankets. Let's not forget his love of getting a bath; TJ loved the water, it relaxed him. TJ was loved and touched by all who met him and will be greatly missed. TJ is survived by his father and mother Tremayne L. R. Parker, Sr and Katrina A. Dixon-Parker of Millsboro, DE, his sibling An'Deshia Satchell of Milton, DE, his maternal grandmother Janice L. Willis of Millsboro, DE, his maternal grandparents Howard (Theresa) Willis of Milton, DE, his maternal great-grandmother Virgie Willis of Lewes, DE, his paternal grandparents Robert (Carolyn)Hughes of Staten Island, NY, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and very close friends who are left to mourn his passing. The Parker Family would like to thank the Maternity and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) staff of doctors, nurses, therapist, social workers, chaplains, and clerks that took such wonderful care of TJ and his mommy at Christiana Hospital. They also would like to thank Ronald McDonald House of Delaware for allowing the Parker Family to reside there while they commuted back and forth to be by TJ's side while he was in the NICU. Lastly a special thanks to the Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Foundation and their professional photographer William Tilton for capturing photographs of TJ and TJ with his family and special friends after he had passed. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 12PM at Holy Trinity Church of God In Christ 29507 First Street Millsboro, DE with a reception following. Arrangements by Watson Funeral Home of Millsboro, DE.
