VADA M HUDSON's Obituary
Mrs. Vada M. Hudson of Millsboro, DE passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at Harrison Senior Living in Georgetown, DE. She was 78 years old. Mrs. Hudson was born on January 15, 1936 in Bedford, PA to the late Grant and Vivian Smith Spencer. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband William Lee Hudson, Sr., two sisters, Freda Lou Marshall and Irene Florence Tate as well as a half- brother Ralph Spencer. She worked in the Lab at Townsend's Hatchery. She was a member of the Dagsboro Church of God where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. She loved to sing gospel music and also sing karaoke. She sang in a band in the 1950s called ""Henry Lewis and the Melody Rangers"". She was a very sweet woman with a big smile. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be greatly missed. She is survived by a son, William Lee Hudson, Jr. of Millsboro, and a daughter, Peggy Hitchens and her husband Mark also of Millsboro; two brothers, James R. Spencer and his companion Joan Vickers of Milton, DE and Carl Anthony Spencer and his companion Elsie Mason of Winchester, VA; two granddaughters, Hillary Graves and her husband Chip and Beth Evans and her husband Nathan; one great granddaughter, Allie Graves and an Evans Baby on the way. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St. Millsboro, DE, where friends may call after 1:00 PM. Pastor Kim Tephabock will officiate. Burial will follow at Millsboro Cemetery. Letters of condolence may be emailed via www.watsonfh.com
