Life Story
Vaughn M. Jarmon departed this life on Wednesday, August10, 2016 at Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE.
Vaughn was born November 2, 1952 in Salisbury, MD. to the late Monroe and Mary France Jarmon.
Vaughn was educated at Milton School #196, William C. Jason High School and Milton High School. After schooling Vaughn enlisted into the National Guards.
Vaughn's first job was with King Cole Cannery. He was then employed with several poultry companies in his early life. Later Vaughn worked as a truck driver for more than 20 years for at least three concrete companies. In Vaughn's most recent years, he worked at The Flower Place in New Castle, DE and
enjoyed making a side hustle cutting grass.
Vaughn enjoyed being around people, family and friends. His favorite was Christmas morning breakfast at his niece's home. He shared life experiences and advice with the young men he came in contacted with. He could make you laugh with his jokes, stories and expressions. Vaughn's daily highlights were taking Clinton and Carmelo to the store and wiping down his car.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Virgil M. Clark.
Left to cherish Vaughn's memories is his sister Mary E. Bunch of Newark, DE. His life companion Joyce Brown of Wilmington, DE. A son Von Jarmon (Kisha) of Felton, DE. Three sons of his companion, Clinton Brown (Nicole), George Brown (Markeeta), Michael Williamson (Basil) of Wilmington, DE. Six grandchildren, a sister in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends. Vaughn will forever remain in our hearts.
A funeral service will be held at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Dominion Church, 1512 N. French St., Wilmington, DE 19802, where friends may call two hours prior for viewing and visitation. Another funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 12:00 PM at Bethel AME Church, Mulberry St. in Milton, DE, where friends may call two hours prior for visitation and viewing. Burial will follow in Old Hickory Cemetery.
