Vernon Kendall Hudson's Obituary
Mr. Vernon Kendall Hudson of Dagsboro, DE passed away on Friday, October 17, 2014. He was 66 years old. Mr. Hudson was born on April 13, 1948 in Frankford, DE to the late Edward J. and Hazel M. Webb Hudson. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by a sister, Betty Jean ""Teenie"" Hudson, a brother, Robert James Hudson and a granddaughter, Karen Ponder. Vernon worked for Parker Block as a forklift operator until his retirement. He was a member of the Frankford United Methodist Church and also visited other churches from time to time. Vernon loved to fish, build model cars and cut grass. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be dearly missed. He is survived by his loving wife, Judith Hudson, three daughters, Lisa Flood of Dagsboro; Paula Justice and her husband Everett of Millsboro; Sheila Ray Hudson of Seaford; four siblings, Rachel Pusey of Millsboro; Jenny Caudill and her husband Les of Millsboro, Virgil W. Hudson and his wife Joyce of Dagsboro, and JoAnne Mitchell and her husband Wally of Dagsboro; four grandchildren, Christopher Flood, Brandon Michael Flood, Cody Justice, J.J. Justice and five great grandchildren, Molly Flood, Austin Flood, Isabella Flood, Kendra Justice and Landon Justice. Vernon is also survived by his beloved canine friend ""Baby"" along with many extended family members and friends. Services and burial will be held private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Frankford United Methodist Church, PO Box 37, Frankford, DE 19945, or the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22178 Oklahoma City, 73123-1718.
