VIRGINIA E HUDSON's Obituary
Mrs. Virginia E. Hudson of Laurel, DE passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital. She was 84 years old. Mrs. Hudson was born in Millsboro, DE on March 14, 1931 to the late Granville W. and Mary Truitt LeCates. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by four siblings, Norval, Johnny, Donald and Myrtle. In addition to being a homemaker and taking care of her husband and six children she also worked at NCR in Millsboro. Virginia enjoyed reading, crocheting, cooking, watching cooking shows, camping with family and friends, and Sunday dinners with her family whom she loved spending time with. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Francis J. Hudson of Seaford, DE; six children, Lorraine Neal and her companion Tom of Hartly, DE; Mary Young and her husband Robert of Laurel, DE; Penny West and her husband Tim of Laurel, DE; Jane Ortiz and her husband Eduardo of Georgetown, DE; Joseph Hudson of Laurel and Dean Hudson and his wife Karen of Millsboro, DE; along with five siblings, Alvin LeCates and his wife Norma Lee of Laurel, DE; Granville, LeCates of Millsboro, DE; Ilene Baker and her husband Albert of Georgetown, DE; Yvonne Cooper and her husband James of Laurel, DE; and Kathy Torbert and her husband James of Milford, DE; as well as nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A funeral will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, July 20, 2015 at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE 19966, where friends may call after 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Carey's Cemetery in Millsboro. Pastor Jeff Hudson will officiate the services.
