WALTER F TOOMEY's Obituary
Mr. Walter F. Toomey of Laurel, DE passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2013. He was 69 years old. Mr. Toomey was born on July 2, 1943 in Millsboro to the late Thomas A. and Ethel M. Downs Toomey. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by siblings, Ethel Morgan, Robert A. Toomey, Frederick Toomey, son-in-law, John Mitchell and a granddaughter, Casey L. Toomey. He was a poultry farmer for most of his life. He enjoyed clamming, crabbing, family barbeques, and just sitting back and telling stories. He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Ollie M. Toomey of Laurel, DE; four daughters, Kathy A. Toomey of Laurel; Ethel M. Mitchell of Millsboro; Lori A. Toomey and her fiance' Lonnie Hensley of Laurel, Theresa A. Jenkins and her husband Paul of Millsboro, DE; brothers, Kennard L. Toomey of Willards, MD, and Daniel Toomey of Liberty, NC; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. Services and burial will be private.
