Obituary of Wanda Lee Carmean
Wanda Lee Carmean, 67, of Laurel, DE passed away in the care of Tidal Health PRMC in Salisbury, MD on September 11, 2021. She was born on August 27, 1954, in Seaford, DE to the late William and Margie Wilson. She married Donald Carmean, who preceded her in 2018. Together they raised three children. She worked at and retired from Stockley Center Hospital as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She was devoted to her family, and especially her grandkids, who were her main priority. She enjoyed bowling, camping, and the beach. She was a real pet lover, devoted to her dog and cat.
She is survived by her children: Stephanie Kelley (Brian) of Laurel, DE; Donald "DJ" Carmean (Ronda) of Batesburg, SC; and Wendy Carmean, of Laurel, DE. She has three sisters: Janice Cannon (Clark) of Seaford, DE; Bonnie Quillen (John) of Laurel, DE; and Margie Wilson, of Laurel DE. Wanda has one brother surviving: Virgil Wilson (Mary) of Laurel, DE; and was preceded by another brother, William Wilson in 2020. Her beloved grandchildren are Corey Marvel; Sidney Marvel, Jr.; Kevin Todd; Matthew Carmean; Layton Carmean; Hudson Carmean; Donnie Baker; and Olivia Snell. There are eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral service is planned for 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 16, 2021, with a time of visitation and viewing one hour prior, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Interment follows in the Union Cemetery in Georgetown, DE. Wanda loved flowers, and floral arrangements are welcomed.
