Wanda Y. Radish's Obituary
Wanda Yvette (Harmon) Radish, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully in Lewes, DE, on June 25, 2024, at the age of 75. Born on September 20, 1948, in Millsboro, DE, she was the cherished daughter of the late Granville K. and Phyllis (Harmon) Morris, as well as her biological father, the late Eldridge Johnson.
Wanda was a proud graduate of Jason High School, class of 1966. Her greatest joy in life was her family, and she dedicated herself to being a loving wife, nurturing mother, and doting grandmother. Wanda's home reflected her love and care, always beautifully decorated and filled with warmth. She had a passion for gardening and creating a vibrant serene space that her family and friends enjoyed. Wanda was also known for her keen eye for bargains, delighting in finding treasures that brought joy to her and her loved ones. Wanda was an animated storyteller, bringing laughter to many.
Wanda's life was marked by her devotion to her family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Robert Radish, with whom she shared many wonderful years. She leaves behind her beloved son, Shea Radish, and his wife Heather, who brought her immense pride and happiness. Wanda's legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Drew Olivia Radish, Vann Edward Radish, and Zeke Sexton Radish.
Wanda is also survived by her brother, Duane Johnson (Doris), her sister, Dana Lee (Bennie), and her cousins, Gwendolyn Jackson, Tyniece Norwood, and Gemez Norwood (Felonise). Her extended family includes her in-laws, Janice Irvin, Michael Radish, Vincent Radish (Pat), and Ruth Ann Horsey (Steve), along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins who held a special place in her heart.
In addition to her parents, Wanda was also preceded in death by her grandparents, William Edward and Leona Jeanette Harmon.
A funeral service to celebrate Wanda's life will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at 11:00 AM, at Watson Funeral Home in Millsboro, DE, with a viewing from 9:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Interment will follow immediately at Harmony Cemetery.
Wanda Yvette Radish will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. May she rest in eternal peace.
