WAYNE THOMPSON MEYER's Obituary
Mr. Wayne T. Meyer of Ocean Pines, MD passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, September 17, 2016. He was 76 years old.
Mr. Meyer was born on February 3, 1940 in Syracuse, NY to the late Harold L. and Eleanor F. Thompson Meyer. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by a sister, Marlene M. Hubbard.
Wayne was a retired high speed photographer at Aberdeen Proving Grounds. He later served in marina operations, 15 years as a Dock master at Ocean Pines Marina. He loved boating, fishing, crabbing, hunting, woodworking, and spending time with his family. Best thing of all was Christmas time.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Edith O. Meyer of Ocean Pines, MD; a son, Duane "Dewey" T. Meyer and his wife Ruth Ann of Berlin, MD; a daughter, Debbie Meyer-Smith and her husband Donnie of Port Deposit, MD; sister-in-law, Linda Andriolo and her husband Miguel; four grandchildren, Dara L. Buell, Dianna R. Dye and husband Dustin, David M. Smith, Dane T. Smith, one great grandson, Bryson M. Buell, a special friend Eddie Webb, Canine friend "Buddy" and Feline friend "Snuggles" as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services will be private.
