Willard W. DuVal, Jr.'s Obituary
Willard W. DuVal, Jr., 78, of Millsboro, Delaware, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2026, in Lewes, Delaware.
Born on May 12, 1948, in Baltimore, Maryland, Willard spent many years living in Pasadena, Maryland, before making his home in Millsboro, Delaware. He proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army and dedicated more than 50 years of his life to the grocery retail industry.
Above all else, Willard loved his family. He was a devoted husband and father whose quiet strength, unwavering work ethic, and love for those closest to him will be remembered always. He was an avid Baltimore Orioles fan, enjoyed his Chevy Camaro, loved listening to Elvis Presley, and could often be found watching his favorite television show, MASH*.
Willard is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Jo Ann DuVal (née Wehberg); his sons, Steven DuVal and Kevin DuVal, all of Millsboro, Delaware; his faithful Jack Russell Terrier, Bart; his brother, Howard DuVal of Delaware; his sisters, Susan Childress and Patricia Ray, both of Maryland; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard W. DuVal, Sr. and Elva DuVal (née Willey), and his brother, Richard DuVal.
In accordance with Willard's wishes, there will be no viewing or funeral service.
Willard will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him, and his memory will be treasured by his family always.
