WILLIAM DAVIDSON SR's Obituary
Mr. William Davidson of Blades, DE passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2015. He was 78 years old. Mr. Davidson was born on March 22, 1936 in Dagsboro, DE to the late Charles Hill and Margaret Ann Gray Davidson. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife Alice in 2007, and two of his beloved canine friends, Sammy and Girlie. He was employed by Delaware Power and Light where he started from the bottom and worked his way up to Controller and Shift Engineer. He attended the Ark Church in Seaford, DE. He enjoyed fishing, crabbing, coin collecting, metal detecting and just going to the beach. He was a 1954 graduate of John M. Clayton High School and enjoyed getting together with his fellow classmates of 60 years ago. He is survived by four children, Doris Melson and her husband David of Seaford, DE; William Davidson, Jr. and his wife Diane R. of Laurel, DE; Kelly Sue Harris and her husband Keith of Seaford, DE; and Douglas Davidson of Blades, DE; a brother, George Edward Davidson and his wife Mary Sue of Eddyville, KY, fourteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon on Monday, February 23, 2015 at The Ark Wesleyan Church, 26630 Sussex Hwy, Seaford, DE 19973, where friends may call after 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Blades Community Cemetery. Pastor Dave Kiser will officiate. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Vitas Hospice, 100 Commerce Drive, Suite 302, Newark, DE 19713.
