I had the privilege of meeting Alan briefly when his lovely wife, Dawn (my co-worker), brought him to our workplace so we could connect and share stories, as veterans often do. Even in those short 45 minutes, it was clear I was speaking with a man of conviction, integrity, and honor. Thank you, Alan, for the words of wisdom you shared, lessons that will stay with me for a lifetime, and for your service to our country.
I am Dawns niece, so Alan has been around my whole life. He’s my uncle. My favorite memory of him is when I first got my ears pierced.. he gave me my first gold earrings. He said”take care of them babygirl” they’re just as pretty as you.
I’m lucky to have known him.
