BETTY C ESHAM's Obituary
Mrs. Betty C. Esham of Gumboro, DE passed away peacefully on Friday, June 10, 2016 at Atlantic Shores Nursing and Rehab in Millsboro, DE. She was 85 years old.
Mrs. Esham was born in Gumboro, DE on June 16, 1930 to the late Henry and Addie F. King Phillips. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Elwood James Esham in 1987, a son, James Elwood Esham, two sisters, Alberta Bunting, Beatrice Lewis and a brother Delaney Phillips.
Betty retired from the State of Delaware, Stockley Center where she worked as an attendant. She also worked at NCR and Buntings Nurseries. She was a member of Gumboro Wesleyan Church. Betty loved flowers and working in her garden. She was devoted to her family and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by a daughter, Linda Cohee of Georgetown, DE; a daughter-in-law, Vicki Esham of Gumboro, DE; a brother, Albert Phillips and a sister, Nina Sviontek, along with four grandchildren, Dawn Morton, Keith Esham, Brian Cohee and Renae Sizer as well as twelve great grandchildren. She is also survived by her best friend Eleanor Hudson and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE 19966, where friends may call from 11 AM - 1 PM for viewing and visitation. Burial will follow at Line United Methodist Church Cemetery.
