Cal was also an avid boater and fisherman. He pulled many catfish from the Elk Riven, a few fish and even more crabs from the Indian River. He loved his view of the Indian River from his porch; he spent many warm days enjoying that view. If you were Cal's friend, he took you in as part of his family. He had so much love in his heart for his family and his friends that he adopted as family. We lived across the street from him in Newark. He was a brother to Karen and I, and my children loved him like another grandfather. When he moved to Sandy Beach, we followed a few years later. He has moved again, and we hope to see him once more. In the interim, he will be sorely missed.
