I am going to miss Doug so much. He was a great man of integrity & a connector. In college at Del State in 1991 he helped me gravitate college by connecting with a teammate to purchase a book that I needed for class. Years later, he visited Tampa in 2019 and I connected him with a friend & business partner of mines. In 2023, I relocated to Batimore and helped me connect with the National Association's of Black Police Officers where I volunteered for community services events. We laughed about the dumbest things and he will certainly be missed. The world lost a good one. Rest in perfect peace my friend.

I'm going to miss my boy alway's the jokester RIP.
Cousin Dougie,
I will truly miss you. My fondest memory of you was your nickname you claimed yourself to be (Dougie Fresco)!! This name was after Doug E Fresh 🤣!! All you had was a two step and a turn around but you thought you were truly dancing. My life is changed forever with this loss. I will always remember trying to play sports and your words of wisdom were to “ be strong, don’t be scared, you’re small but I am too compared to the other players.” “Use what you got, practice, don’t give up, and make the best of it”. I was never as good as you were but I do remember watching you and cheering you on in your sports events. Take your rest cousin. I love you and I will continue to go on in the strength of the Lord. I will take with me your words of using what I got and making the best of it!!
We basically grew up together him living in Mt.Joy and me in Hopkinsville. Every summer we were in Mt. Joy all day playing ball or just hanging around. When most of us were getting into mischief Doug wanted know parts. You could tell he was going to be different. I picked my Granddaughter up from school in Seaford she says poppop Mr. Reedsays you grew up together I look up it was Doug with that smile of his. You are going to be missed my brother.

His smile and interest in my students will be missed. He visited them daily in the lunchroom where he showed them his "dance moves" and joked with them. He was always upbeat and encouraging. We ALL loved his visits. He is greatly missed. Rest in peace beloved friend and co-worker.

Doug was my running back coach at Sussex Tech class of 1995
Hands down a great coach, and a great role model for all he came across. HE will be missed but never forgotten
