To Scott, Shirley, Jeanne, and the entire family: We are very sorry for Eddie’s passing. Remember all of the good memories that you all had with him through the years. May he rest in peace.

My parents and I have many fond memories of Eddie - from chatting with him over the phone and receiving his many photos and videos of the boardwalk on social media, and for my Mom: her memories of chatting with him in-person upon his NY visits & as a young girl living in Cohoes, to chatting with him on the phone. Eddie was a sweet, kind man who is greatly missed.

My sweet, crazy, caring, and pain in the butt grandpa. These passed few weeks have been full of emotions. He’s truly missed, the singing happy birthday phone calls, the great finds he’d get at goodwill, his famous pilaf, saying “what” when his “hearing aids happened to not pick up what you said,” and showing every picture in his phone whenever he’d see you. That man turned his life around and made sure he made up for his faults and then some. He’d give you the shirt off his back. He cared so much for the little family I made and I’ll be forever grateful and cherish all the times we had. I love you grandpa❤️‍🩹

I was at Lowe’s just after I moved here in 2013. I saw a gentleman standing in the checkout line with an FOP cap on. Since I was a member at my FOP lodge back in Maryland, and wanting to join the local lodge, I approached him and asked about his lodge. He talked to me briefly about his lodge. He told me to come by his house on Wednesday and I could follow him to the lodge meeting. He said that he was the lodge president and would be glad to sponsor me in joining. We’ve been good friends ever since and I am a proud member for 13 years thanks to Ed. Rest in peace brother Ed. I’ll see you soon.

The phone is quiet, the house is quiet, the laughter has died down,it's Friday night and there is no fresh floral arrangement on the table. "The Keeper of the Stars" has dimmed one of it's Lights, "Mr. Ed." Kind caring, & giving, he loved life enjoying the simple things. A destination could be 20 miles away & he would say "We are almost there". He loved a good meal, his toys (2 trucks, & his trike & his collectibles). Most of all he loved his family, his Sons he always found time to talk about them, even the one he lost, his granddaughters, & of course his beautiful great grandkids. We both were "Seniors" but he loved to go & I loved my recliner. We worked it out we each took turns on deciding where to go or what to eat. My Kitchen is full of gadgets, my antiques are more & my life is richer because I met, Mr Ed. You are now with "The keeper of the Stars" so PLEASE keep them burning bright and RIP.
