My Aunt Betty was the first and only person to give me a teacher's memory book when I graduated college as an elementary school teacher, 28 years ago. I still have it in my office. She shared many stories and hints of success for teaching whenever I saw her. Aunt Betty always asked how my classes were and every now and then she would surprise me with mail, normally an article or something in regard to teaching. I have many memories but not enough space or time to share. Just know she will be missed.
Aunt Betty, give my Dad a hug in heaven for me.

Our Aunt Betty was the last of our parents’ generation. She was the last Aunt or Uncle that we had. I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong.
Betty was an educator and an entertainer. I am sure that during all those years teaching in the elementary school system you must be some of both to keep the classroom sanity. She certainly entertained us when we were kids.
She was demanding and supportive. Of course if you knew her siblings Kate and Genevieve you knew it was a family trait. They were strong women in a time when women were expanding their place in our society. William J Conroy and Margaret Conroy were instrumental in that.
At almost 92 she lived a long, interesting life that impacted those around her. She was involved in many lives in Maryland, Florida, and Delaware and left her mark on this world.
We all have many stories to share and she will be missed.
Say hi to mom and dad for me Aunt Betty.
