Helen S Conley's Obituary
Mrs. Helen S. Conley of Millsboro, DE and formerly of Pennsylvania passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, January 15, 2018. She was 86 years old.
Mrs. Conley was born in Media, PA on March 20, 1931 to the late Howard and Elizabeth Goddard Spahr. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her beloved husband Frank T. Conley, Jr. in 2000 as well as three brothers, Howard, Carl and Frankie.
Helen was a homemaker taking care of her family and also a child care provider. She was formerly a member of Long Neck United Methodist Church and currently a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Millsboro. Helen loved to draw and paint. She was a generous woman who volunteered in her church, The Boys and Girls Club of Oak Orchard, The Christian Store House and on many mission trips where she would do manual labor. Helen will be remembered as always having a smile on her face to brighten someone's day.
She is survived by four children, Helen "Chicki" Kennedy (Norman) of Millsboro, DE; Dot Rineer (Dave) of Lancaster, PA, Frank Conley (Jeffrey) of Chambersburg, PA and Robert Conley (Debbie) of Smyrna, DE; a sister, Meta Gambol of Clifton Hills, PA and a brother, Jerry Spahr of Lubbock, TX. She is also survived by seven grandchildren Tammy Ward (Rick), Norman Kennedy III (Karen), Erica Kennedy, Michael Kennedy, David Rineer, Tom Heaney and Jennifer Heaney, as well as four great grandchildren Chelsey, Jake, Cameron and Lucy.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 19, 2018 at the Watson Funeral Home, where friends may call from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM for viewing and visitation. Burial will be held privately with the family following the service at Conley's Chapel Cemetery.
