Joyce M. Clark's Obituary
Ms. Joyce M. Clark of Millsboro, DE passed away at home with her daughter Katrina by her side after battling Alzheimer’s Disease and dementia for several years.
She was born in Millsboro, DE on September 14, 1940, to the late Walter L. and Arzie Morris Clark. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers Linford Clark and Norman Clark as well as three sisters Doreen Jackson, Yvonne Street and Loretta Mumford. Ms. Joyce had two special dogs who passed over the rainbow bridge “Coco” and “Ivy”.
Ms. Joyce retired from Omni Bank, which is now M&T Bank where she was a customer service representative for many years. She was also an Avon Salesperson and worked at Atlantic Sands Hotel cleaning with her sisters and other family members.
She was a member of the Nanticoke Indian Association and Harmony Methodist Church. Ms. Joyce loved travelling to tropical islands with her family and friends, dancing and listening to music, laughing, attending parties and the annual Nanticoke Pow Wows. She was an animal lover and is survived by her constant canine companion “Benji.”
Ms. Joyce is survived by two sons Gary B. Jackson (Jo Ann); Kim T. Jackson (Terri); one daughter Katrina Johnson (Jeff); and one brother Roger Clark all of Millsboro, DE. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren: Amberly Jackson, Kandice Twilley, Gary B. Jackson, II, Kim T. Jackson, II, Justin Timmons, Dustin Timmons, Jackson Taylor as well as seventeen great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
A funeral will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at the Watson Funeral Home and Crematorium, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE 19966, where the viewing will be held from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Harmony Cemetery.
