Although I never met him in person, Steve Dressman was my friend. We shared a lot of the same values and we had mutual admiration for each other's beliefs. I looked up to Steve Dressman the way a man looks up to an older brother. His words were sharp but tempered with a thoughtful and kind heart. I found the kind of strength and character in Steve that I had always looked for in my own elders and within myself. Steve's approach to life reassured me that the values I held dear and in high regard were values shared by good, God loving men of strength and honor.
My love and respect goes with Steve Dressman as he crosses into God's kingdom. Losing Steve has created a void in my life and a sense of loss but I'm grateful that God brought Steve's, strength, humor, wisdom and kindness across our great nation to share a little bit of his guidance to me.
Rest in peace, my friend. You are missed.
