William H. Pusey, III's Obituary
Mr. William H. Pusey, III of Millsboro, DE passed away on Monday, March 15, 2021. He was 75 years old.
Bill was born in Millsboro, DE on May 10, 1945 to the late William H. Pusey, II and Maggie Greenwalt Pusey. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by six siblings, Merrill Pusey, Orille Pusey, Donald Pusey, Dale Pusey, Betty Godwin, and Gloria Pauley.
He graduated from Millsboro High School and Goldey-Beacom College. Bill was a United States Army Veteran. He served as an officer in Germany. Once he was discharged, he worked as a C.P.A. for Robert M. Hoyt & Co.in Rehoboth and later opened his own office in Millsboro. He married Linda L. Baker in 1966 and they were blessed with two children. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Millsboro where he served as the Treasurer for 22 years as well as other related capacities. Bill was also a member of the Friends of the Millsboro Library where he served on their Board of Directors, and was also active in the Millsboro Historical Society. He enjoyed golf and was a big sports enthusiast. Bill was a very family-oriented man, a good provider, wonderful husband, father and grandfather who will be dearly missed.
Bill is survived by his wife of 54 years Linda Pusey of Millsboro, DE, a daughter Letitia "Tish" Pusey of Millsboro, DE and a son W. Ryan Pusey and his wife Sarah of Millsboro, DE. He also leaves behind five grandchildren William Luke McQuay, LeeAnn Casey and her husband Jake, Kalyn Ryan Pusey, Lance McQuay and Christian Pusey as well as two special nephews Shane Baker (Jessica) and Dylan Baker. Bill is also survived by extended family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, March 19, 2021 at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE 19966, where friends may call from 11 AM - 1 PM for visitation. Interment with Military Honors will follow at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Due to Covid 19 restrictions masks and social distancing will be required as well as limited seating for the service..
